This was our inaugural event held June 22, 2011. The charity we supported was the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter.
31 pilots and passengers, along with 24 volunteers, and 13 sponsors came together to raise $6,300 for the charity. Pictures of the event were taken by Rob Goldberg and can be reviewed and downloaded here.

About the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter
The Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter is a private, nonprofit organization that provides twenty-four hour emergency residential care to children who are victims of family violence, neglect and physical and sexual abuse. It is designed to meet the needs of these children by providing them with an immediate safe and loving environment that reduces their current trauma through support and nurturance.
The mission of Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter is to provide a safe haven, high quality care and hope for the future to children who have been abandoned, abused or neglected.
